YOUTH RED CROSS

Youth Red Cross is a group movement organized in our college. It supports our students to provide voluntarily their services in various fields like promoting health awareness, Blood Donation, Disaster management and knowledge in First-Aid.YRC represents seven fundamental principles i.e., Humanity, Impartiality, Neutrality, Independence, Voluntary service, Unity and Universality. The club concentrates on the following awareness activities:

  1. Creating awareness in promoting and protecting hale and healthy life.
  2. Providing selfless services to the sick and suffering in old age homes.
  3. Building awareness on Disaster relief to the victims.
  4. Indulging volunteers to donate Blood and Eye in saving life.
  5. Bestowing First-Aid Training Programmes.

RED RIBBON CLUB

Red Ribbon Club is a precious movement established in our college to educate about prevention of the Human Immunodeficiency Virus or HIV to our students. The motto of our club is “Prevention is better than cure”. It teaches the young minds to be good humans in creating HIV/AIDS free society. The main objectives of this club is shown in the following activities:

  1. To create awareness in reducing HIV infection among the youngsters.
  2. To motivate the young students to help and support people living with infurious diseases.
  3. To lecture on Anti-Smoking and Anti-drugs movement.
  4. To promote the thought of blood donation among the students.
  5. To provide youth with the skills like leadership, negotiation and team building.

NATIONAL CADET CORPS

The National cadet corps is a voluntary organization implemented in our college to develop qualities of character, courage, commandership, discipline, leadership, secular outlook, spirit of adventure and sportsmanship and the ideals of selfless service among the youth to make them useful citizen. Besides, NCC creates a human resource of organized, trained and motivated youth to provide leadership in all walks of life including the Armed forces and be always available for the service of the nation.

The basic training avail to the cadets are drill, shooting, physical fitness, map reading, First-aid, Gliding/Flying, boat pulling, sailing and camp training covering basic of military training in Army, Navy and Air Force.NCC Social Service activities are as follows:

  5. Anti-Female Infanticide Pledge
  6. Anti-Leprosy Drive
  7. AIDS Awareness Rally
  8. Visit to Old Age Homes

  10. Disaster management and Relief
  11. Village upliftment and various other social schemes.

PLACEMENT

The placement cell of our Institution was established to enable Employability skills and Training to the students of final year courses. The motto of this cell is to inculcate knowledge in exploring potential career paths that paves way to extended academic performances, the cell produces individual attention in providing training in fields like Resume Preparation, Personality development, Soft skills, Aptitude and Reasoning Practices.

The placement cell invites special personnels from corporate companies to enrich the cognition of students with latest technical innovations. It equips them to acquire practical knowledge from theory by allowing them to undergo Internship programmes. Job Fairs are periodically conducted with selective organisations. The cell ensures the gradual development of alumnae in career enhancement.
